The Quanta Q-Plus C laser is used to remove or lighten of professional, amateur and medical tattoos in adults. It is also very successful in removing or lightening benign, pigmented skin lesions by selective thermal absorption of light energy.
The laser works by producing an intense, targeted burst of light that destroys pigmentation in the lesion or tattoo with minimal damage to the surrounding tissue. Multiple treatments may be required, and in some cases, 100% clearing of the lesion or tattoo may not be possible.
Immediately after laser treatment, the area turns white and swells slightly. The whiteness usually fades in approximately 10-20 minutes. Over the next few days, blisters may form at the treatment site, and then a scab or a thin crust may follow. The skin usually heals in about 7 to 10 days. It may take up to 4 weeks for residual redness to fade.
If you have brown spots or an unwanted tattoo, ask your practitioner if you would be a good candidate for treatment with the Quanta Q-Plus laser.
